theweekmagazine:

The Australian Open ended with a men’s tennis final for the history books, as Novak Djokovic of Serbia ground out a win against Spaniard Rafael Nadal in an “epic” match that lasted a record six hours, into the early morning hours, Melbourne time. “Numbers, and there were many of them… do not sum up the emotional power of this duel, which deserves a place among the most riveting matches in the modern history of the sport,” says The New York Times’ Christopher Clarey. But it’s hard to grasp the significance of this “match for the ages” without the numbers:
5 hours 53 minutesLength of Sunday’s Djokovic-Nadal match, a record when it comes to international tennis finals
1:37 amTime at which the match finally ended, in local time
4 hours 54 minutesPrevious record, a 1988 U.S. Open match between Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl
More numbers here

The fawk. How did I miss this epic match?

T___T overwhelming sadness…..though it really was epic. i mean come on….second set Nadal came back from being down 4 games to 1, like wtf. he effin’ played HARRRD, for the whole damn 6 hours too. NEXT OPEN NADAL, NEXT OPEN!!!!! plus, his interview afterwards was like T__________T YOURE SUCH A GOOD GUY NADAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. LOLLL, did you guys see the video of Djokovic trying to give his shirt to this little girl fan, and this bitchass lady straight up stole it out of her hands?! betches be craaazy!!!!

Movie Niiiiiiiiiiiiight!

so i had a pretty hardcore movie last night, annnnnnd it was kind of amazing. come with me and i shall take you on my journey:

The Rebound: so i mean….everyones GOTTA do it sometimes. just every once in a while you gotta watch those stupid chick flicks to get the mood right again. forgot how/why i even tried looking for this movie, but i must say, it definitely served its purpose LOL. was funny, cute, sad, and lighthearted. and i gotta give it to those little kids, they more then made the movie, oh and definitely the awkward first date with the doctor guy too…that guy was just all kinds of crazy lol. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT to mention the COUNTLESS Harry Potter inferences, that shit was just AWEEEEEESOME lol. i mean come on, gotta love me some harry potter love!

Shame: okay WOW. lol, can i say INNNNTENSE?! damn, i think it was Kanye who said it best but, “THAT SHIT CRAY!” haha now granted, this movie was beyond simple, very little dialogue (especially in the beginning) and very little information on the characters…lots of it is insinuated. Now haters keep your panties on, just givin my opinion, but im a little skeptical of why everyone says this is a timeless and classic movie that deserves the highests of hypes, i just feeeeel cuz the lack of background and information and even dialogue, there isnt THAT much to base how good this movie was. now that being said, for BEING such a simple movie, it wassss really deep and powerful in the subtleties, theres a lot of emotional that you get from it, so in that sense i get where the hype does come from. it really did get you on this crazy emotional rollercoaster. and YES, it was lightweight like a porno throughout the movie though >__<;;;

50/50: FIIIIIIIIIIIINALLY watched 50/50, and it really did live up to expectations. was very much so a deep and thoughtful movie with an undertone ‘funniness’ about it. but i most definitely teared up, though didnt think i would sorda kinda bawl. gets you in touch with your inner self a lot more then i had expected. and definitely laughed and smiled too, quite the heartwarming movie. NOOOOOOT to mention the above was probably the best line in the movie, i hella LOLed. again, gotta love the HP love XP
